Inspiration...

A quiet escape...

I love moments and phrases that inspire. When Portland was in bloom this past month, I would look out my window in absolute awe of the garden in its early glory. The view outside my living room, however, never ceased to catch my imagination. As I would curl up with my cup of tea I often caught glimpses of the pink blossomed trees, fairy lights threaded betwixt as their glow welcomed the sunset. In those moments, I became Sabrina fair as she sat in her tree, watching the fabulous parties of the Laraby family. (I highly recommend both versions of Sabrina, they each have their merits)

Birthday dinner...

Tonight, as I celebrated my 23rd trip around the sun, one of my favorite PDX people caught my imagination. Growing up, his home was on the edge of the park to the west of downtown, and in that park was a lovely zoo. One year, two peacocks escaped and became lets of the neighborhood residents. One made a nest by Jimmy's bedroom window, and as she would listen to "children of Eden" with him, he named her Eve.

Tonight, I would like to thank...

Each and every one of you for reading. I was challenged to created an audience for my final and your support was overwhelming! (Over 170 new readers in 2 days) The end of my class, however, will not be the end of Be Delightful. (Lessons from sourdough on the calendar tomorrow!) We've only just begun making this world as we wish it, thank you for beginning the journey with me!

Love you all,
K
