Tuesdays...
I don't know about you, but I've been in the habit of considering Tuesday Monday's hangover day. Wednesdays have the relief of being halfway to the weekend and Thursdays just amp that anticipations, but Tuesday? Tuesday was the day to do the things I put off because I didn't want to deal with them on Monday. A reality check was most certainly in order: it's highly unrealistic to judge the merit of five days on their trivial calendar placement. My Quick and Easy Solution:
Instead of feeding the idea of boredom, I decided to create a new identifier for Tuesdays. This began by making a commitment to take a dance class. New people, new dance style, new place.... At first, the overwhelming newness was a tad unsettling, so it helped that I had an enthusiastic friend (Shout out: Jimmy is just hilarious!) to join in my adventure.Three weeks later, I have made a couple of absolutely quality friends and now spend the week counting down to Tuesday. Amazing what fresh perspective can accomplish.
So, In the Tuesday Dancing Spirit
Here are a two things that inspire me to dance :)
1) Grooving music with a a sense of soul; I'm almost positive that Jessie J wrote the anthem of my life.
2) "Dancers Among Us” was created by Jordan Matter as a reminder to “relish moments large and small, recognize the beauty around you, and be alive!” I fully endorse this notion.
So, I suppose that's it from me today. Sometimes it's about the big moments (like having my family fly in from Texas tonight) and sometimes it's about the small things that just make you want to dance.
Moovin' and Groovin',
K
